Walnut Cottage has 3 bedrooms, each with wonderful views of the Himalayas in front . The two bedrooms on the ground floor have a queen size bed and a small side bed for child/single person. The bedroom on the first floor has a four poster bed, vaulted ceiling and a fireplace. The rooms have electric blankets, a desk, a room heater and a heater in the bathroom too! The living and dining area is on the first floor and has a fireplace . The balcony is the ideal place for breakfast. The whole house has wooden floors and the first floor has a wooden roof. There is a small loft on top of the kitchen.

Writer's Cottage has a standalone studio room also with excellent Himalayan views. It has a fireplace, a small kitchen, a desk and a folding dining table. It has wooden floors and a wooden roof.

We are environmentally conscious and have provided for solar geysers for warm water for the full property. Also, the primary power for the house is solar with the electricity from the grid being used only for the electric room heaters and the backup electric geysers. We also process the bio degradable waste on site and request that you take back any non bio degradable waste that you bring.

House Rules:

 

  1. Smoking is not allowed inside the house.

  2. We are located in a village where sounds travel far easily. Please don’t play loud music at any time, especially after dark.

  3. Water is a precious commodity in the hills – please use it judiciously.

  4. Breakfast and Dinner is included in the price. Our caretaker(s) can cook for lunch you at a charge of Rs. 500 per day per person if paid for at least 2 days before checkin.

 

Pet Rules:

 

  1. We welcome you furry one's / pets. We charge an additional one time cleaning / pet fee of Rs. 1,000 per pet per stay for hosting guests with pets. Maximum of two pets are allowed.

  2. Any damage caused by your pets will be charged to you.

  3. Pets are not allowed on your bed or furniture. If you need a pet bed, please ask the caretaker for one.

  4. Please bring your own feeding bowls and towels for your pets.

  5. Your pet should be with you – please do not leave your pet unattended in the house or outside the house. Please make sure that the pet is inside the house after it turns dark.

  6. Please ensure that your pet does not track dirt when coming inside the house – please wipe them if they are dirty or wet.  If your pet has an accident then it is your responsibility to clean it – cleaning supplies are available.
